To the haters on Youtube, Phil just had a his big back surgery, and was clean from dope and pills, only for a few months, as a former addict i was still barely able to pick up my guitar where he was at when he did this, so trust me he's doing this amazing, Phil is always a treat to be around and he preforms like a beast. and he didn't try to be Layne he was himself, which is exactly what this performance needed. I wish they'd get back together again. If you don't like it then don't watch it, duh.

Respect to Phil for doing this. I think it sounds pretty interesting. Not at all like Layne but Phil has a great voice (most of the time). Anyone who covers AIC and pays respect to Layne is cool with me.

I like Phil, I like Layne, and I think this sounds pretty fucking great, honestly. People are only complaining because he doesn't sound like Layne. Nobody sounds like Layne, grow a fucking brain, everyone has different styles, he's not there to be or sound like Layne. He actually sounds great, he's on key, and he puts on a powerful style to it. We're comparing a nasally Grunge vocalist with thin vocals to a Heavy Metal vocalist who puts a lot more gut to his sound and with thick vocals just like how any baritone would have. Really, it's style that people are complaining about. You may not like his style, but it's not wrong. Opinions are opinions, but holy shit, nobody's going to sound like Layne, it's impossible to sound exactly like someone. You can get close, but you know, everyone's unique, so it won't happen. This is paying respect to two amazing musicians. One who died from a painful addiction, the other murdered in front of his fans and what he'd consider family. It'd be nice to see some respect for everyone playing in this video.

You guys gotta remember that Phil and Layne's voices have completely different tones, one of the hard rock/ grungy sound and another from the extreme metal side. Sure either wouldn't sound as great playing each others tunes but a tribute from two legends, it's killer man! I'm just lucky enough to witness it and I love it

Anytime somebody tries to sing Layne's songs/parts they are a fail. And for those who made the smart ass comments about Layne, junkie's and what not I guess you are fucking perfect? WTF ever..........Layne is and always will be bigger than life and still makes a difference even to this day. What difference you making? You are on youtube making stupid ass comments about a vocal God. Regardless of what he did wrong he did enough right to save people from the same hell he died from. He gave everything he had to his fans as long as he could still belt out a song. I love it when people talk shit about others and don't even know what the word sacrifice means.
