Wonderful song.

Great song! The opening sax riff sounds similar to one in Carole King's "Jazzman." I think Phil Kenzie played the sax on this song, as he did on "Year of the Cat." I love the storytelling in his lyrics--very picturesque.

"You're on my mind like a song on the radio." I don't mind that you're there at all. :)

one big reason these songs from Al are strong: Alan Parsons produced both Time Passages and Year of the Cat. Polished to perfection like a gemstone. Stewart always had the best musicians, I saw him on 24 Parrots tour Peter White, I think, on lead gutars...wow! , Tim Renwick was his go-to guitar slinger and even Jimmy Page sessioned with him early in his career...listen to Love Chronicles for your vintage wah pedal Page lick fix.. great post!

Intro sounds a little like SNL's Intro with the sax.

I was making my way through the wastelandThe road into town passes throughI was changing the radio stationsWith my mind on youOh your friends call you "Lily Paloma"But that's not the way that you areIt's too much of a gentle misnomerFor a shooting starBut you and me babyI saw you thereStraight away I knewThere's really no hidingI'll tell you right nowWhat we're gonna doWe'll go collecting the daysPutting the moments awayYou're on my mind like aSong on the RadioI remember the first time I saw youAlone in the dark with a drinkWith a candle flame burning before youAnd your thoughts closed inYou were staring out into the distanceNot seeming to hear what I saidWhy did you put up such resistanceLike all the lights are red'Cause you and me babyI saw you thereStraight away I knewThere's really no hidingI'll tell you right nowWhat we're gonna doWe'll go collecting the daysPutting the moments awayYou're on my mind like aSong on the RadioI don't know what it was that was painfulBut sometimes it's there in your faceThere are times when you just look disdainfulOf the human raceAh, but then on the wings of emotionWe circle each other in flightTill together we roll like the oceanIn its bed at night'Cause you and me babyI saw you thereStraight away I knewThere's really no hidingI'll tell you right nowWhat we're gonna doWe'll go collecting the daysPutting the moments awayYou're on my mind like aSong on the RadioYou're on my mind like aSong on the Radio

Every single note in place and so balanced. You keep moving step by step with this song in your time tunnel. What a crappy songs we get these days and what to say about such classics.
