Charted at #1 in 1929. From the Jolson movie, "Say It with Songs". Written to try and duplicate the success of "Sonny Boy" from the previous year. "Little Pal" also charted at #7 for Gene Austin and #9 for Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra (with a vocal by Bing Crosby). Recorded April 7, 1929. Written by Al Jolson, B.G. DeSylva, Lew Brown and Ray Henderson. The other side of this record is "I'm in Seventh Heaven" which itself charted at #2 (and I've also posted).

From Jolson's third feature film attempting to ride on the coat tails of "The Singing Fool"....And reunited Jolson with cute little "Davey Lee"!
