Damn Deal Done

Here is the best tip in scenarios like this. Close your eyes and use your ears. Drag the fader to the ground, close your eyes, then raise it. When did mixing become a visual art based on the tiny numbers on the digital faders?This video does highlight something quite common though, the obsession over small changes which can really drive you crazy.

i found that lowering tracks is much better than raising them = clearer quality less ditortion and by lowering sound doesnt really mean the sound wont be heard i always play back my final product and you can determine if you need to raise it but raising first will tend to make you want to turn other things up

A lot of the time (for me) original ideas dissolve over time from second/third/forth guessing. This seems like a really simple way to assure yourself of the musical vision when you've forgotten where you started
