Fortunately then and perhaps unfortunately now, the record industry was run by much more visionary and fearless people who were willing to take a chance on something that was different. I'm afraid the current corporate landscape is too worried about it's quarterly earning report to be daring enough to take a chance on a new Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, etc. etc.
