When I think of this I kind of get disgusted because Jim was made to Lip Sync this song and I feel like because of that it doesn't show how lovely or close the lyrics actually were for him. He was cut short for space in what he wanted to do.

Thanks for uploading this great piece of Doors history. Also worth noting is that Dick Clark was a class act... not a circus ringleader like lots of other personalities who hosted rock bands back then. You can tell DC had a true respect for the music.

The songs are obviously taped from the first album of the Doors. As was the case back in the 60s and even the 70s, performers usually lip-synched and pretended to play their instruments on shows like AB and Soul Train.
