DORIS DAY WAS AT HER VERY BEST IN THIS RE-MAKE OF A MOVIE. IT'S THE FIRST RE-MAKE I'VE EVER SEEN THAT WAS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. THE ORIGINAL STARRED PRISCILLA LANE AND JOHN GARFIELd, AND JEFFERY LANE. THE MOVIE WAS CALLED BY A DIFFERENT TITLE.

I was looking for "Young at Heart" the SONG, not the film. The video's title can be misleading. After all, this video isn't the whole film, is it? The song title and the singer are the important information.

I know what you mean , Dolly. I m 26 and I love the old music and movies a lot for the same reasons you listed. Plus I absolutely love the clothes. But I make myself be honest, I d have hated to be a woman then for the most part. I really really like making my own decisions and choices. Still the dream and the magic are worth keeping close in our thoughts and our hearts .

In "Young at Heart" she sang my song "Hold Me in Your Arms"----in the beach scene. What a thrill to have that happen. Lyrics by Charles Henderson (brilliant) and me. Written in one afternoon----heard that evening by Miss Day. She liked the song---the rest is history. Thank you Doris Day for the thrill of you singing one of my earliest songs. Don Pippin
