"That Day" will be the third single taken from Villagers' much acclaimed, Mercury Music Prize-nominated debut album, Becoming a Jackal.
Released on 4th October via digital download (RUG375D), "That Day" is a momentous paean to fate and communication. Sung to us by a narrator who is "embedded in this written story", it's bellowing and triumphant delivery belies its somewhat resigned and fateful lyrics.

I consider Conor O'Brien and Co. to be far more unique than the aforementioned compatriots. But all are on the right side of the musical tracks, so to speak. There always has been and always will be singer/songwriters, thankfully. It's all part of the great musical stew. Unfortunately the Irish public like most other public(s) are more concerned with the great heap of crap that is fed to them by the commercial world.
