Hi, Scott ... only just noticed your comment ... yep, that was my black 1976 Emmons that I got from Gary Hogue. It was his first Emmons (he bought it new in Oct 1976) and I bought it from him in July 1991. I really miss that guitar!

I believe Lionel Cartwright is the major artist you're thinking of who had a hit on this song. If I remember correctly, this song did receive quite a bit of air play and did become a hit, but it was mainly intended an excellent filler tune from his 1991 album "Chasin' The Sun". At the time we were doing this as a cover tune in the clubs, it was the Lionel Cartwright arrangement we were following with a little embellishment of our own mixed in. I don't know if anyone else had a cut of it.
