Actually, Elmore used that riff in about 2/3 of his songs. I've never seen anything like it. I guess his thought was like that of the football coaches who say, 'keep on doing it til they make you stop it!'

@film0guy Follow up....how do I know. Because my band got a bootleg copy from England and we blew every concert hall down with it. I had a 17year old lead guitarist who could blow rings around Beck even in the 60s. All Jeff did was eventually put words to this Elmore based riff to become the above.
