For reasons I will not write about here CBS Law allowed me to keep this video up. It's the only copy left online!

I did spend some time color-correcting this, improving audio and video. My 9th ffmpeg experiment, pushing HD quality into low-bandwidth FLV1. (All of which is useless now, since YouTube re-encoded the flash I uploaded and destroyed all my hard work.)

Have the good fortune to see her perform Saturday night at the Emelin theater in Mamaroneck NY. She was great, of course he performed this song just as wonderfully with her band. She is much more of a rocker than ballad singer. Her show was really good and she sang Roy Orbison's Crying as part of her encore. See her if you get the chance

I saw this performance on Letterman the night it aired and like most of you was astonished by the genius of the song, performance, band, vocals, and connection the song mustered within the first 5 notes to the last chord. I chose this song as the song to walk down my aisle when I got married. My wedding was Orthodox Jewish and I can guarantee not one other Orthodox jewish girl has ever walked down to that! I had daydreams and nightdreams that I hired Nicole to sing it as I walked down (shouldve tried contacting her). My Jewish band was kind enough to learn the song and did a great job. My wedding program noted the song I walked down to. I'm sure my 400 guests were like "huh?" but I can only now wonder how many of them googled that song the next day. I am still obsessed with the song and like many of you go back to see/hear it. After her performance on Letterman (and yes he was obviously blown away by her and the song clearly), I must have watched it on a loop 50 times.:)
