Absolutely my anthem of last summer! Breaking up with my girlfriend of 5 years--trying to find out the truth...trying, but I believe inevitably failing to escape the "whirling dance" of our romance....I wish we could go back in time and open my & and her' eyes....that's life I guess, I've still got to know "was it ever true?" Not like before...."we were lost in a whirling dance...." what a jam!!!

Classic album in every sense ,So much musical greatness crammed effortlessly into 3 in 20 seconds. I used to roll my eyes when my parent used to say "they don't make them like this anymore" ,but i find myself thinking the very same so much today! Always a place in the world for class like this.

I like this song on the whole, but it seems like they had two different songs they wanted to write and more or less clumsily pasted them together. I'm all for experimentation in tone, but the "open your eyes" parts clash a lot. Maybe it'll grow on me, I dunno.
