Here is another great Cowsills Bubblerock video I did ,

It's The Cowsills performing - 1968's hit - Indian Lake !!!

This and various clips were taken from

The Cowsills NBC TV Special - Family Thing ( 1968 )

I remastered the music & video for your pleasure.

I also added Susan Cowsill end credits playing with her pet dog - Roughhh !!!

with the classic tune - The Rain The Park & Other Things ( The Flower Girl ) - 1967 hit.

With the funny comedy sketch of Bill & Susan Cowsill and the pics I added ,

is sure a happy guarantee time for all !!!

Come and check out my other Bubblerock Retro videos I did

at my Youtube & Viemo channels - danbanrock1

I Love The Flower Girl !!!

So I just got through watching a David Cassidy Documentary where he credits this group for the idea of the Partridge Family, so I had to see who they were. It's pretty good! I would have been a fan if I knew them back then and that little girl is getting down with her bad self! LOL!

Oh, I remember it. Is that line"Where you can mate like the indians do?"...or are my old ears not picking it up correctly?

The entertainment industry and history have their exceptions, and this is one of them. Most Pop bands are not family-bands But we have the Lennon Sisters, Williams Bros.(Andy wasn't the only one), the Jacksons and the Osmonds, ~however~ The Cowsills were evenly mixed; boys and girls, so their vocals are RARE.

For all those folks who are commenting on how much they think that Susan Cowsill added to this group's appeal and wondering why this group have never been given any serious consideration for induction into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, be aware that Susan Cowsill is a MAJOR REASON-along with their mother Barbara-that this band will will quite likely never be nominated for induction, ever. The little tyke can dance as well as any kid that age could, and the mother had a good, basic, backing vocal to offer. But the fact remains that their inclusion in the band gave this band a less than serious attitude and a "gimmicky" feel that to this day does not sit well with most-if not all-of the induction committee. I seriously believe that had little Susan and Barbara NOT been included in this band, then this band would have quite likely already have been inducted into The RRHOF. Furthermore, had the family banded together to oust that beast of a father of theirs then yes, this band could have had a real chance of going down in history as a great band.

The mother had to be thinking something like 'did I really have to be in the band I gave birth to?'

They shoulda used them on the Partridge Family, indeed. A little acting coaching and I have no doubt the kids coulda pulled it off. They are/were all such natural performers. Mom might not've been able to pull it off but those kids certainly could have.

Coulda really have gone down in history as one of the greatest bands, had they only thrown their mentally deranged daddy under the bus. Far superior than the Partridge Family and Osmonds.

I have always been a HUGE fan of the Partridge Family, and only recently decided to look into the band that inspired them, the Cowsills, so far I have just been overjoyed with the treasures I have found.Sad that the Partridge Family are better known than the Cowsills, They have really been overlooked, what a GREAT band, and how cute was Susan, love her rocking on here in this clip, thanks for posting :)

John Cowsill played drums for the Beach Boys 50th anniversary world tour in 2012 which took them all over the world. John was great on the drums.
