The Seekers are touring New Zealand in November 2014, as a finale to their Golden Jubilee, Visit http://www.TheSeekers50th.com for more info.

Back in 1967, when The Seekers returned home to Australia for a visit, little did they know that their free concert at the Myer Music Bowl in their home town of Melbourne would break attendance records for the Southern hemisphere and TV ratings records for Australia, a record which still stands today.

The concert was filmed for TV and is now available as part of the DVD 'The Seekers at Home and Down Under'. As no promo video has been released for the original (1966 single) version of the song, it is this which I've used for the audio, extending the video to include the middle 8 bars. (Judith almost tripped me up by swapping the last two lines of the song around, but I've edited the song to match!) The DVD has the live audio, and is available on Amazon.

A voice as clear and sweet as a bell. No autotune, no vampish moves. Nothing but lifted hearts and spirits. The way that life can be if we allow it to be...

SHOCK! HORROR! A female singer walks on stage WITHOUT showing any cleavage or her backside on display!!! Look at Judith as she walks out on stage in that long green dress, notice how it "clings", outlining her lovely curvaceous body. She looks beautiful, elegant and SEXY without any hint of crudeness or gimmickry,so different from many of today's female singers. Judith Durham was the epitome of a classy 60's girl, gifted with huge talent and endowed with one of the most beautiful female voices that there has ever been.

I was a bit too young to appreciate it, but I was lucky enough to have been taken to the Newport Rhode Island Jazz Festival and the Folk festival back in the 60s. I can't recall exactly which year, but I recall I enjoyed the folk festival a lot. I was about 7, possibly 8 and it would have been about 1965 or so, just before my little sister was born is my best guess and some cousins from NY were visiting. The folk festival had Buffy St Marie, Joan Baez etc and I do recall a lot of positive feelings. I remember my mom chuckling and getting a kick out of the "hippies". That was just different than what she was brought up with
