This song is better than at least 1/2 the garbage that was selected for the final White Album cut. There are plenty of great songs, but probably some of their weakest songs appear on this album. Every song McCartney and Lennon had was essentially used.

This was on Georges later album of course, as so many of his rejects. Too bad, the Beatles cut him out so many times. But that is why he came out with an album so fast after the break up, a huge back load of songs, written and ready. I admit, I had no idea this was one of them. Great version.

As one of those Beatle fans who knew the history before hearing certain songs, I expected this to be some POS. It wasn't, as Only A Northern Song wasn't. George wrote blunt, direct and honest songs - true to his character. This clearly irked John & Paul when their bandmate's bluntness struck too close to home. There is no reason why this is not on "The Beatles" - while the Honey Pies & Revolution 9 are - other than Lennon/McCartney being domineering and controlling. This would ensure the band's demise a year later.
