finally figured out a line in When I Paint My Masterpiece "those mighty kings of the jungle I can hardly stand to see them" just looking at nworders makes me sick to my stomach "yes it sure has been a long hard climb" and that made it difficult for me to climb the ladder of success. "train wheels running through the back of my memory" revolution is part of my history "when I ran on a mountain" when I preached like MLK "following a pack" a predatory wolf pack "of wild geese" of vicious dumb people - should be gaggle of geese "someday everything is gonna be different when I paint my masterpiece." Only thing I can think of is "piece" as gun or piece as peace???

Nobodys better than this not even Mozart. When these guys were alive and playing we had real superheros and congratulations to all those that got to see these guys live! I was lucky enough to see two shows by The Band minus R.Robertson and they were without a doubt the best two musical shows I ever got to see in my lifetime. Fantastic and thanks to Levon and Rick for being such absolute great men and musicians.

I have been looking for this video for a long time. This is the last public performance that Rick Danko sang on before he passed on. I could tell he wasn't in health and I cried when he died. He passed away on his birthday. Levon and the rest have left a big hole in music. I have The Last Waltz and my twin daughters know every song on it.
