This song came on the radio today as I was driving. Our lives recently seem to be filled with so much defeat. I am tired of losing to those who are consumed with themselves. I'm tired of losing to evil. I've questioned many times, why God? This song made me cry because it expresses the anger, the question; why can't we win sometimes?

There is a bigger message in this song. I use this song in outreach. Give up your social norms, judgement, assumptions etc. It goes back to the cross "father they know not". Scripture says we are all blind. The greater your relationship with God, the more he lets you see, what he sees. We have now become a world that doesn't know what character, values, morals and ethics are. We think it is what you tell people while you do the opposite. Pick one person from the comment section and put them on your daily prayer list. Scripture indicates we will suffer in righteousness. I make the subjects: judgement, social norms, bullying, rape etc--not a God says it is wrong subject. I seek to educate and in the end your parting remarks can be: "just because we can------(judge, create social norms, reject the different, not care because it isn't our lives), doesn't mean we should". If you have children, start at home. Tell your children who they are so the world can't: " --name---you are righteous, you are honorable, you are filled with mercy and grace for others, you are brave, you are loved, you will stand up for others who cannot stand up for themselves". Tell them everyday when they rise and before they go to sleep.The world is selfish but you do not have to be. I think we all grieve for the injustice and cruelty of the world. Every human being is only what they know (experiences and education).

This is a timely song and very much honest and true while remaining faith based. If you are trying to overcome deep resentment ask God to show you the part that you've played in that situation and also you need to pray for that person's well being, well fare and success, everything that you would desire for yourself you ought to pray for that person and you will get free-1 Pe. 3:9; Mat 5:10-11; 44-45
