I am not happy that the "BLAZE" 103.5 as named in 1989 didn't play Mother Love Bone. Chicago had nowhere near the same music scene as Seattle, and when MLB was about to release their 1st big time album, "Apple," he passed, so the radio made the major mistake of Passing it up. You can hear snipets of Axl Rose/style at times. The Blaze played GnR all the time...I hear some Poison in his work, too. He Could have been the BIGGEST OF THEM ALL, NO AUTOTUNE in his day!!!!! WOW!

Thank You for posting this RARE TREASURE of Emotion that we know from the album it wound upon, Temple of the Dog. Andrew, way ahead of his time, was gone too soon. I was only 9 when he died and I didn't even hear Mother Love Bone till just a couple days ago! Shame on the Radio. This version is so different from the final cut, MUCH MORE RAW on the part of Chris Cornell, Andrew's roommate and friend. Now he is in the light, far from what made him suffer - Heroin was just a horrible bandage for his pain. Rest in the Peaceful Light ANDREW WOOD, 1966-1990.

I'm from the east coast as well and never heard of these great bands such as, Malfunktion. Green River, etc. But I did know of Soundgarden. I research music and learned of MLB too late..My God, I thought to myself. Andy and MLB would have been the Led Zeppelin of the 90's. Listen to Andy sing. He resonates young Robert Plant. Especially on Crown of thorns..Such a shame to lose someone with so much life in his soul. All the greats are stolen from us. What are we left with? Music today is artificial. It has no guts. Beautiful dedication to Andy by Chris. Rip sweet soul..
