After the breakup of Led Zeppelin in 1980 (following the death of John Bonham), Robert Plant pursued a successful solo career beginning with Pictures at Eleven in 1982. This was one of the lesser known songs on the album, written by Robert Plant and Robbie Blunt. Cozy Powell (Jeff Beck, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath) played drums on this and "Slow Dancer". Genesis' Phil Collins played on the rest of the album.

I've always thought how much this illustrated that Robert Plant had been greatly underestimated with Led Zeppelin - overshadowed by Jimmy Page. This album showed that his influence over Led Zep's sound was much greater than we'd known....

One of the greatest voices in rock, Robert Plant. met him backstage Memphis, Tn during the height of release of this song. Teenager during the Zep era. Then he was older & wiser so was I. Ths song mixes great lyrics, musical cords, & great voice. Proud to be around during one of the greatest rock's icons & bands.

I've always felt that this masterpiece was the best work on this artistic expression from Mr Plant. What makes it great (to me) is the way that with the melody first then the words second he is able to evoke such emotion. If you have ever missed someone terribly with every fiber of your being this song will remind you just why and how much you miss them. After all isn't THAT the goal of any true artist to evoke emotion? Absolute brilliance on full display in this piece. I have always wondered why so many people missed this album or dismissed it as " not very good" perhaps they were still in a Zep daze always lQQking backwards unwilling or unable to move forward. Plant obviously doesn't suffer from this condition.

This whole album, especially this song, was on my mind when I left all my friends and went into the Army in August 1982. Good memories of hanging out on the beach at Belmar NJ before I entered the service. Two years later, when I returned, the 80s were definitely in full swing.
