I'll admit, I really don't like how this version kinda paints Maureen as a straight girl who's 'just going through a phase'. I mean, does it really have to be going straight from straight to lesbian? Can't she just be polysexual or something? Also, this version seems to emphasize Mark/Maureen's relationship over Maureen/Joanne's relationship, which I'm not totally crazy about. I do like that Maureen and Joanne sing Without You in this version though. That was pretty sweet.

I'm honestly really really glad this song isn't in there. this makes Mark into a completely unlikeable asshole for me, and if I heard this song the first time I watched Rent, I'd probably wouldn't even like it as much as I do now or at all.
