She's from Akron, Ohio in the U.S. about 30 miles south of Cleveland. She was one of several musicians to come out of Akron in the late 70s and early 80s...some good to great music including The James Gang, Devo, King Cobra, Tin Huey, The Rubber City Rebels, The Bizarros, The Waitresses, and more. Around the same time The Dead Boys came out of Cleveland. I was in high school when this song came out. She's very good.
