Longtiime Nick fan here. He was clearly a fan of Jackson Frank, who wrote this song. If you haven't heard Jackson Frank's one album (produced by an unknown Paul Simon), it's well worth your time. Sandy Denny also borrowed tunes from him.

The original by Jackson C. Frank is so much better, like most of the other covers done by Drake on his songs.

yes. good song. he did a great blues number here. can't say he is underrated much anymore. and for a white guy, this has soul of the blues.
