My God he loved Jackson Frank didn't he? So pleased to hear Jackson's music being loved and covered by others. Going to have to listen to 'Blues:The Speacial Edition'.

Longtiime Nick fan here. He was clearly a fan of Jackson Frank, who wrote this song. If you haven't heard Jackson Frank's one album (produced by an unknown Paul Simon), it's well worth your time. Sandy Denny also borrowed tunes from him.

Nick Drake is the most beautiful musician I have ever heard.

Maybe one should bear in mind that Nick Drake never meant these private recordings to be released. Still I'm glad we can hear them now; as much as I appreciate the originals, I love these cover versions so dearly...

He stood about 6'3", right? "Long Lonely" could have been his bluesman's name.

Part of Nick's soul was Southern, musically speaking.

The original by Jackson C. Frank is so much better, like most of the other covers done by Drake on his songs.

yes. good song. he did a great blues number here. can't say he is underrated much anymore. and for a white guy, this has soul of the blues.
