I was actually amazed that I liked this better than the one sang by Taylor Swift (soz Taylor!). Definitely worth listening. I feel that the song delicately balances between being mawkish and purely sentimental.

ok, guys, this wasn't written by Taylor Swift. It was written by The Civil Wars who are incredible song writers. Maybe Taylor Swift helped, but if you knew the civil wars you would be able to tell that they greatly influenced the song.

I love this song! It proves Taylor Swift can be a mature songwriter. When I heard the original I never really liked it, it irritated me with the strange vocals. But, Megan seems to bring a peacefulness to the song that it needs in my opinion. It is supposed to be a calming song, not a big, epic, song like Taylor Swift made it.

I'm a bit disappointed by this interpretation. The arrangement was too full. The song certainly doesn't lend itself kindly to such overbearing orchestrations. They come across as poor karaoke backing tracks. The tragedy for me is in the vocals. I'd expected a masterfully delicate take. The song is, at it's heart, a lullaby. Instead, she takes it at the same strength as one of the Dolly Parton tunes from 9 to 5 and that's certainly not what's called for in this instance.

This is one of the most beautiful songs I know, considering it was written for "The Hunger Games", it obviously needs a special interpretation. It's originally sung by Taylor Swift, who's a great songwriter but isn't smashing technically, when it comes to vocals. What the song needed all along, was such a good singer as Megan. It's too bad, she didn't do something with it, like adding an orchestra or singing it sadly, something that would move the way she moves on Smash. Cause she can do that.
