In my yes .. with my ears.. This song speaks what paralysis takes in a general way.. people give us feel good sayings not at all the question on our mind spinal cord injury takes away the life we created. We get no remission.. no pills remove our wacky neurons or help us to get our hands back..bladder & bowel function. Steps taken for granted are not where we are affected the most. I can't play the guitar I once could.. singing is hard as a high c4 quadraplegic. . Something I loved doing. Paralysis places us on a bed or on a wheelchair. . No earthquake can move our limbs like wacky signals ie neurons trying to get past our injury level. Cars . . Falls .. recreational vehicles aren't all that cause paralysis. A sales rep can give your surgeon a non cervical patented lead . . Knowing the end result too.. Our lives are not in our full reach of destiny .My disability does affect destiny .Some prefer no cure .. they paraded their paralysis to obtain money .. often taking on risks that got them paralyzed. Giving no thought our enjoyment can take away destiny. A complete cure won't fix damages paralysis causes . . Spinal cord injury aka SCI .. needs a after cure to the cure lolOn my wall as I exit my house is ... what if there's no cure. I'll never dance with my awesome granddaughter .. or walk my kids down a Isle as mom & dad. No wheelchair tilts or spins good enough to put destiny back in my control. No way exist to control our destiny ...or will a cure. What if is left ...needing others to try & imagine needing one.. to help us fight. :)Merry Christmas .
