I had in 1971 the EP which included this song, one of my fave. Marmalade is also my favourite jam.

I'd never have known. I listened a few times but NO! I would never have picked it up. Mike Smith, Mike Ross. Real masters.

1:32 Ron. Straight copy of the intro dropped back in. Mike Smith, our producer, was the best splice editor I've ever seen - the "edit block king" - tho' on this occasion, I seem to recall it was Mike Ross, our engineer ( no mean editor either ) who edited. Another one of Campbell's brill ideas - so brill it only got to number 30 in the UK chart! Keith Mansfield wasn't available to score the orch backup - Alan Hawkshaw and i worked on this together.

if there's an edit,i sure can't hear it unless its near the end(arpund 3;02),but its pretty damn seamless.and without protools!!!

Everlasting Love was fantastic, great shame they didnt record it they would have done a great job. Agreed, Ob La Di had to be up there with one of the worst songs ever, but this one and Baby Make it soon was great, its inspired me to find and buy an old copy.. CD of course

My first single was Lovin' Things! In the history of British groups, Marmalade are unfairly overlooked, with power pop, folk rock and even psych! Drummer Alan Whitehead was the only Englishman in the line up, after replacing Raymie Duffy.

Fantastic song. This band knew how to do it just right. I loved the diversity of their music as much as I loved their performances.
