I, too, remember this beautiful song with nostalgia from my childhood, 25 years later.Note on the quality of the show:Mid 80s, I'm in England and my Australian friend Angela tells me that there was zero quality shows produced in Australia. This song has been haunting me for almost 40 years. I watched the show when I lived in NZ in 1975 &1976, and managed to remember parts of it, but I have never heard the whole song until today.I am very grateful for YouTube, one of the worlds great inventions.Thank you, thank you, thank you !!!

I knew the first verse was ( he used to give me roses ) but I always thought it sounded like ( heels to give me roses ) which made no sense obviously . lol . Am I the only one that thinks that's what it sounds like ?
