Gorgeous song! I, too, remember this beautiful song with nostalgia from my childhood, 25 years later.Note on the quality of the show:Mid 80s, I'm in England and my Australian friend Angela tells me that there was zero quality shows produced in Australia. ME: Well, what about "Prisoner, Cell Block H"? It was so good, they brought it to America!ANGELA: YOU DESERVED IT!!!

This song has been haunting me for almost 40 years. I watched the show when I lived in NZ in 1975 &1976, and managed to remember parts of it, but I have never heard the whole song until today.I am very grateful for YouTube, one of the worlds great inventions.Thank you, thank you, thank you !!!

I knew the first verse was ( he used to give me roses ) but I always thought it sounded like ( heels to give me roses ) which made no sense obviously . lol . Am I the only one that thinks that's what it sounds like ?
