It's a shame that this band is so little known or at least named being so good, Andrea has one of the most beautiful voices I've heard, is so sweet and touching, the sound of the band is great and those keyboards sound fabulous, the ambience, everything is perfect, it is one of my favorite voices: Liv Kristine, Simone Simons (the first albums Epica), Anita Auglend (TSOTB) Sharon Den Adel, Johanna Aaltonen (HB, band Christian symphonic metal) and of course Andrea Datwyler

I also prefer European power metal to the American variety, for exactly the same reason that QuertyTSecond mentioned, but to say 'US Metal SUCKS' is both arrogant and narrow-minded. American metal has a different aesthetic from European metal, but that doesn't mean it's worse. ... now excuse me while I go back to listening to European power metal.

I agree that most people give up on American metal too easily, but if you're not wanting to spend the time digging through the layers of mainstream garbage, the European scene is probably much more to your liking, given bands like Nightwish dominate the metal scene there.
