She sings great, and I can hear her Auntie in her. I don't know where the comments come where she is singing out of tune, or flat. She sounds in tune and also sounds like herself, as she is not Karen.

It's interesting how singing voices sometimes run in families, (Judy and Liza) and sometimes they don't (Whitney and Bobbi Kristina). This is another example when they don't. Karen was a true gift from a place we'll never see again, with incredible control, warmth and instinct. Unfortunately, we don't hear any of that here...

hearing karen carpenters voice after all these years is very theraputic even though she is and always will be sorely missed i agree she did not get enough of the help she needed the doctors shouldve insisted she stay in that hospital until she was completly cured

Isn't it interesting how some people (1) criticize other people's comments as ''reprehensible'' , and yet conveniently (and undoubtedly deliberately) fail to criticize another person for her equally ''reprehensible'' comments which is inconsistent, (2) conveniently (and undoubtedly deliberately) fail to notice or criticize the other person who hurled the first insult and started the name- calling, which is inconsistent and (3) fail to notice that it was the other person who misinterpreted a comment in the first place! By the way, the word name-calling is a hyphenated word.

Notice viewers of this video of Richard and Mindi Carpenter performing a song, that Tracy Benson (1) responded to my comment which, in turn, was a response to Jean White's comment, (2) Tracy Benson contradicts herself within her own comment when she first wrote ''As far as techniques are concerned, you are correct. Techniques are objective'', but later in her comment she writes ''You have lost the argument but will never admit it'', which is , of course, a contradiction of what she wrote earlier in her comment, so she can't even recognize her contradictions, (3) Tracy Benson was the first one to make insulting and fallacious remarks when she called me ''obsessive'' and ''unstable'', so she is ''bullying and harassing'' me not the reverse. If a person insults a person he or she should expect to be insulted back. As the old expression goes, ''What's good for the goose is good for the gander''. If someone does not want to be insulted, then he or she should not insult someone in the first place. (4) Tracy Benson is upset because I responded to Jean White's comment. Oh how horrible of me to respond to someone else's comment! LoL!!!!!!!!! (5) Tracy Benson just could not resist her overwhelming urge to yet again respond to one of my comments which was a response to someone else's comment not to Tracy Benson's comment, which proves that Tracy Benson is obsessed with my comments, not the reverse. (6) Tracy Benson counts comments, whereas I don't waste my time counting peoples' comments. (7) As certain as the sun rises and sets, it won't be surprising at all if Tracy Benson responds to this comment with another erroneous, insulting and contradictory comment. So let's see if Tracy Benson takes her own advice and resists the urge to respond again with another worthless comment.

For a young girl, she's got a nice voice! They were just a few reeeeally minor glitchy things that over time Richard could coach right out of her. It's actually kind of encouraging to see that Richard and her performed this knowing that was wasn't totally flawless. He clearly not some tyrant who requires perfection. He's probably just a proud dad who enjoyed this opportunity to show off his daughter's talent! Fun to watch, I wish he'd do this stuff more often :)
