The government killed Jim Croce and Maury Muehleisen in that plane crash on September 20th, 1973 because the wrong people found out about his song "Which Way Are You Goin.'" Jim had gained insight to certain pieces of information about our United States Government which would've brought a nasty light to the people who truly ran the nation. R.I.P. Jim and Maury-your messages will never be forgotten

i first heard jim in my older sister's apartment. i immediately said, "i want to go to see HIM in concert" and she said "you can't; he just died in a plane crash" i had just discovered him, and yet i felt such loss. have loved his music ever since.

@nickslife61 I lived down the street from him and my life took on a new direction also. Though I'm not where I'd like to be today, I did work a screenplay of the song that started it all, "You Don't Mess Around With Jim". It was easy for me because of my love and pain. Are you noted for anything we might know?

@nickslife61 I grew up down the street from Jim and I started playing guitar the weekend we all lost him. It broke-up our high school. Many of Jim's teachers were still there. Though I'm not any kind of a writer, I wrote a story line through each verse of "You Don't Mess 'round with Jim". Have you thought about any thing like that?
