just goes to show you a great voice will endure. This guy plugged away.. played at my college Glassboro back in the day. He played all the local clubs always putting a balls to the wall effort each time. Great to see him back with that same smooth rockabillly voice w/great songs.

Back in 89' 93.3WMMR, the radio station Tommy mentions in the vid, ran a contest for high schools where the winner got a free concert at thier school. My school won the concert we got was Tommy Conwell & the Young Rumblers opening for the Hooters. Great show, my first concert ever, and a great way to cap off my senior year!

I caught Tommy and the rumblers at the Bottom Line in NYC, I believe it was sept or Oct of 89' and they were a truly great rock and roll band. I am not sure why they are not together on a reunion. Classic songs and classic instrumental line up- Fender amps, hammond B3 Leslie, piano chops etc. Come on Tommy and the guys- You have a lot of heart- get back together- Coffee house is cool but it is lacking the passion of the band and the earthy tones of tube grit and grinding hammond leslie combo.
