Why don't you actually READ the WHOLE BOOK instead of one small part? Maybe then it will actually make sense to you. If you read the bible, you'll even find passages that talk about how every single christian will be hated by the world, because the world is not of God. The world is of the Devil. The world is evil, my friend. So are we Christians, but the difference is, we Christians actually understand that we're evil, and are sincerely sorry for that, and we pray for forgiveness. The world couldn't care any less how evil it is.
