Mad Love is a Platinum certified, Grammy nominated 1980 Punk/New Wave album by singer/songwriter/producer Linda Ronstadt. The album debuted at #5 on the Billboard album chart - a record at the time and a first for any female artist - and quickly became Ronstadt's seventh consecutive million-selling Platinum album.
Ronstadt scored Top 10 hits from the album in the US with "Hurt So Bad" and "How Do I Make You?". She was also nominated for yet another Grammy award in the Best Rock Vocal Performance Female category. Now 30 years since its release, this album has never been out of print.

I just love this song, all renditions of it. Whether it's Little Anthony, The Lettermen or Ms. Rondstadt...the lyrics have the power to make ya cry. If anyone has ever had their heart broken (that's probably 99.9% of us), then you know of what I speak....the lyric say everything you want to tell the one who walked out! Elaine her voice is so great she doesn't need a video. One of the greatest voices ever in female pop/rock/country, so pure and hits every note bang in the middle. Some people have voices that can sing only one type of song, upbeat, slow, sad etc. She sings them all. Also she doesn't sing anymore because she can't, Parkinson's killed her voice.9 years назад

Just a tremendous version. The guitar and her voice really blows the roof off the earlier, Little Anthony version. Today Ronstadt's interpretations are often considered the peak of female rock/pop/country vocalization. Finally we can agree on just how great a singer she was.9 years назад
