I remember sending this song to my fiance back in 1987 when he was on a West Pac cruise for 6 months...It was a very appropriate song for the situation. Thankfully the marriage didn't happen, though I did get a beautiful daughter out of the deal! Thanks for posting this.

Maybe the best song he did that wasn't a hit. 1/2 show tune, 1/2 pure Gilbert. This song was to happiness and joy what the (downer, IMO, sorry to offend) song "Alone again (Naturally)" was to sadness and depression. If they can make a movie based on "Abba" songs, it's too bad they can't make such a film based on normal, everyday people set to a medley of Gilbert O'Sullivan songs.
