Great song! However, the lyrics are a little racist. But this an old song, so you can't judge it by today's standards. Nice video, but some of the girls in the photos are not Chinese.

The word "mei gui," which sounds like the English "make way" and means rose, figured prominently in the original Chinese song. When Wilfrid Thomas was hired to write English lyrics for it, he changed the content considerably. That is very common when songs are translated. But Thomas used the imperative phrase "make way" (stand aside for someone important to pass) three times in the English version. It was his way of paying homage to the original title.
