Singing Is All I Have

With so many of Frank's songs I find myself developing a personal connection to the sentiment of it, even if it's different from what the song was originally inspired by. For me, as someone who suffers from chronic insomnia, I kind of associate this song with how I always end up sleeping into mid afternoon and the day is pretty much gone, as well as days that somehow seem to slip through my hands because I'm pissing about or whatever reason. I always feel like there's not enough time in life. Frank has been such an important part of my life for about five or six years. I started listening around the age of 13 when I really started to get psychological and emotional issues and I really don't know how I would have made it through these past few years without this amazing guy's music. He's also been a big influence on me musically, as I've been writing songs for a few years now (planning to upload some stuff on my channel shortly). Love you, man. :D

Went to see Frank at St Albans on Monday (15th Sept) and he was fxxxxxg amazing. Old songs, brand new songs and some of the classics from Taped Deck Heart. Great age range at the gig with the place on its feet for the whole encore. Loved it!

I really enjoyed listening to this song. I turned 27 this year. It’s funny how life flies by quickly. I used to dream about what I’d do in the future, and how the wider world may change for the better in the future. Now I dream far less, and ‘just get in with it’ more. I have become less idealistic with each year, more 'practical' and pragmatic. To me, this song seems to recognise the changes and commitments that come with age, and celebrate the fact that our youth is golden!
