It sure does. Its merely a tool made to enhance our natural abilities to something more. If you wish to bring ignorant bias on one end. You should really think these things through. Humans use tools to change how we live. That's our "epic" power. So to me auto-tune is just another way to do it. I personally do not listen to very many auto-tune heavy songs. As its not my cup of tea. But I do not become a higher authority on music quality. When its a taste based pursuit not a quality based one.

Voice is in my mind the worlds greatest instrument. It can do so much. If adding effects to you voice is cheating then so is using medicine to survive and using anything other then natural ability.
