Ela deita e rola mesmo. Sabia usar os tons numa session intimista ou num show, contralto perfeita. Agudos no tom certo e graves emocionantes.

Sempre que a ouço fico pasmo. Impossível entender, absorver (e se acostumar) com tanta genialidade. Salve mestra (absoluta) Elis!

PART3: The song speaks, generally, of someone (some old love) who dismissed "her", and, after overcoming, she has a lot of fun telling (trhough the song) the whple situation, been comic and disengaged! Hope I could Help! Hugs from Brasil!

PART2:translating the phrase to what it really means, it's something like:"But, what ability I do have! providing someone facilicities even I did never have it...",But,ofcourse it explores all the poetry of brazilian portuguese, which have so many losses when translating. And this is a sentence in the middle of all the song!

(PART1) "'...Mas que malandro sou eu! Pra ficar dando colher de chá se eu não tive colher!..." Litteraly, "malandro" in portuguese means "scoundrelly" (so, a adjetive), but in this song, "malandro" has a slang meaning, something like "wheeler-dealer", but refering, yet, to the smartness of that kind of peaople."Colher de chá" litteraly means "teaspoon", but here in this song, we also have an slang meaning, which is "make things easier to someone; like give him/her a little help; camaraderie".
