These guys belong to a special group in rock history that includes bands like Joy Division, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Pixies, Nirvana and Radiohead that were all ahead of their time and created rock music that was full of angst , sensitivity, and emotion. They didn't have much staying power but this entire album was killer.

Love this band, great song. Fans of this might also check out the Dream Syndicate's Days of Wine and Roses LP

This was my theme song for 1993. Now I'm tucked into bed by Jim Beam and/or various members of the Busch family but at least I'm payin' the rent. Still it brings tears to my eyes to think of his poor Mommy's passing. Dramarama were at their finest rockin' peak w/ this ablum and then just petered off into gray. The story of rock is told in quiet rooms by girls writing poetry.

One of the rockingest songs of the 90s. Criminally underrated. Lyrically genius. "I deny a problem with my attitude, because I will work for food". Story of my life...!?

one of the most powerful rock'n'roll songs ever brought to us.. From yet another band that the media didn't give them half the respect they deserved!!! So u know what they went out and got it themselves!!!!!LOVE ALWAYS LARRY INFANTINO

@84heroes1In closing, the music you list contains2 of my favorite bands&more I enjoy&recognize as talented musicians&have some emotional depth 2songwriting-though some bands Rcool enuff2B enjoyed w/o deep lyrics,eg,the Pixies, but theyR very rare.I think you're pretty cool&have a decent taste 4music.Some of the morons I argue w/man you wouldn't believe.I've just been through too much&there's so much great music-I need the emotional depth&variety. No more2bsaid-I like mostof what Udo-I just needmore

@84heroes1 Well you got some pretty lame bands in there-Dinosaur Jr., Smashing Pumpkins, and Oasis-one of the worst bands in History-I like some depth to my music, Like Dramarama, Radiohead, REM, they all are in the same league as the Jayhawks songwriting prwess, but w/ the exception of Radiohead are still far behind it, though they rock more-the Jayhawks rock in their own way-It's your loss for being kinda pigonhold into a certain genre-you're missing so muych good music

@84heroes1 I don't understand;why?U don't think Dramarma&The Jayhawks are both great bands?Since I'm typing,I exhaled B4 I typed Dramarama-but I think I can ascertain where this is headed-you don't likeThe Jayhawks,so you don't really know good music&R certainly lost when it comes to good songwriting-from a lyrical perspective @the very least;U just happen to like Dramarama,&posted a rare youtube multi-liner articulating ina way this braindead generation can understand what I've said for years

@84heroes1 No-- I do agree they are incredibly underated, that they are a great band and far better than a lot that made it,that they have songs that are lyrically incredible and know how to rock---however, there's a band called The Jayhawks, out of Minneapolis-different genre, but if you know good music it shouldn't matter-they wrote the book on being underrated
