Uneeded Narrations for Free

Finishing a big project that I procrastinated on... this might not be the best band to listen to, since I'm singing along, but it helps..Fuck this project.

uuuhh, no. I don't like this because i watch a lot of anime in fact i dont know what relation there is between this and anime. I just like it and believe it sounds well. stop being a smartass honestly.

You probably like it since you're probably a afan of anime, and songs like these can be found in many intros outros. And since it's only japanese singers doing it, it kinda points out that it's not normal or preferable. It's their style, but to the general opinion, it doesn't sound good. I like this song LOOOOOOOONG ago while I was watching Air Gear, and listen to the vocals. NORMAL. /watch?v=rPXaoq4Cd0k

What the fuck are you even talking about? I absolutely fucking LOVE that detail in his singing. I find it sounds amazing, and you're telling me in all your smartassery that it's terrible, what the hell?

Some people can't control it, and most people have vibrato. It takes a long time to control, and some people cant, or won't try to fix it. Its a natural thing

You were just bitching about the guitar sound, and now you're just randomly bitching about the singer? Wtf dude?

I don't usually say stuff like this... but what a completely moronic thing to say. "hear how a guitar's SUPPOSED to be handled." What kind of narrow-minded and pretentious viewpoint is that? The beauty that lies within an instrument is that it can be played in any way. It can played loud, or soft. Technical, or simple. Slow, or fast. A guitar isn't "supposed" to be played like anything. Just because you can't appreciate guitar playing that isn't flashy, doesn't mean it's any less meaningful.

The only japanese singer who uses crashendo and decrashendo. its sooooo nice.

I think he's just using vibrato, which a lot of singers, regardless of ethnicity, do. I personally like it, but if you don't that's perfectly okay too

01:30 :P The "I taouououououo" he makes, instead of doing a clear note of it. Japanese singers do this all the time and I don't understand why, because it sounds terrible

yoddling? give me an example, when in the song? I'm not sure I know what you mean

I just donk like the singers yoddling..... I watch TONS of anime, and unfortunately, many male singers do that thing... vibrato like this isn't something I enjoy listening to in metal music :<

Part of the brilliance of this song is how powerful a simple dununun dununun guitar riff can be. As much as I love Dream Theater and Petrucci, he goes way over the top sometimes. Music isn't about being flashy. Imagine if this was drowned in technicality and wankery. It would lose all of the depth and power of the song. Less is more. Between the Buried and me are a good example. Paul Waggoner is a great player but sometimes their music gets so technical that it just kills the song.

Look up Dream Theater - This Dying Soul, and hear how a guitar's supposed to be handled.
