Tremendous songwriter with an emotional delivery that puts her up there with the greats. But Ann Wilson and Heart took her songs to another level, not just with Heart's notoriety but mainly because the purity of Ann's voice jacks up the emotion and intensity to new heights. Ann Wilson has the voice and chops (and the soul) to emote these lyrics in ways that Dalbello could not, just because of the limitations of her voice.

This is a great song. I wish it would have gotten air time on the radio back then when it came out. But it is never too late to have this GEM resurface. Great Artist with great songwriting skills. I grew up with her so I am bias but her voice range is incredible. This song is relevant even today. Even with technological changes, this song has stood the test of time where communication is concerned.

Excuse me ????...you are completely wrong, Dalbello wrote this song and it was featured in her debut album ...Heart did a cool VERSION years later on "Bad animals"....you better check your comments before posting....

Whoa ! This is SOOOO different from Heart's version !!! It's almost like it's two different songs. Not crazy about Lisa's voice - it's somewhat too mannered for me - but she was certainly an original.
