Maybe not financially, but he gets to play great music with great musicians. John is playing shitty music with shitty musicians. I have a feeling Clay is happy where he's at.

I'm just not sure if I like this sentimental version of No Such Thing, it doesn't go very well with the lyrics even though it's perfectly executed. I think the song benefits from the happy and fast flow of John's version!

Did't gain success after splitting with John? Shoot, he's been in the Marshall Tucker Band, Sugarland and now he's in the Zac Brown Band. That's pretty successful to me! Guess you're just referring to the solo success. Clay is awesome!
