Very cool for The Boss to pay tribute to the legendary Levon Helm. Great version, but I wish The Boss had the chorus correct. It's "Take a load off FANNY", not "Annie". Levon was good friends with Bruce, and especially Max, so Bruce can say whatever he wants for his friend!! :-) By the way, Bruce has said many times that when he heard Levon's cover of "Atlantic City" that it was his favorite, and that once Levon does one of your songs, it pretty much belongs to him after that! Very cool Bruce!

I am a fan of both Bruce and Levon. I went to Bruce's first concert in Toronto then many more that followed in Toronto. Levon is someone I have known for more than fifty years. We where in some of the same circles in Toronto. However we were not close enough that I could call him a friend. Still I have always admired his talent.
