Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods hit #1 in 1974 with "Billy Don't Be A Hero", originally recorded by Paper Lace ("The Night Chicago Died"). They followed that up that same year with 2 more Top 40 hits; "Who Do You Think You Are" (#15) and "The Heartbreak Kid" (#39). In 1975, they released their ironically titled Hot 100 entry, "Our Last Song Together". Co-written by Neil Sedaka, this was band's final single released on ABC Records (they recorded "Take Me Make Me Yours" that same year, which remains unreleased), and didn't achieve the chart success "Billy Don't Be A Hero" did. It only got high as #95. Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods still tour today on the nostalgia circuits. This may be their last song together, but this one deserved a better chart fate.
