Its funny how shitty this is. I just want to know how they view this song, like, is it just meant ironically to piss people off and see what they can get away with, or is it actually meant to be sincere. Is it meant to be poetry with just a mood setting music or is it meant to be a good song and good music? I mean the song has potential, but it looks they just dont even give a fuck if the song is good as a whole when they wrote it. But then again if thats what its supposed to be then i guess they suceeded but then again who would listen to this more then a few times ?

I'm into oldschool postpunk, oldschool industrial, synthwave and yeah, also the infamous italodisco - so obviously this it's not my thing at all - i don't find this band annoying though, I think i will investigate more about them... I'm pointing out that it's not annoying bc i'm well aware of the influence of this band over whole genres that i cannt stand. It's not overrated as the pissed off Fugazi fanboy says here ... it's just another genre, nothing to do with Fugazi (quite awesome band) Throwing stuff on stage is extremely rude - usually smelly punks do that.

During my tenure as an "indie rock" college radio d.j through the 90's, I saw people going gaga for this band. I feel now as I did then. This band is WAY overrated. Hey, I love lo-fi as much as the next guy, but this band sux. I went to see them open for Fugazi and people threw stuff at them. Funny though, I liked Calvin's Go Team....go figure. ??

I probably heard of this band years ago, but I didn't really know them until now, when I read a book about the indie music scene. I can see the influence now and appreciate their performances. For anyone who doesn't know, Calvin Johnson was a prime mover on the Olympia scene and helped many other bands with his K label.

Jesus FUCK! Can we please put a moratorium on the words "hipster" and "pretentious"!? This was what punk rock was back in 88. Weird, cheap, non-mainstream, and primitively recorded and performed.
