He's another example of former child stars whose lives have been destroyed by drugs and alcohol, getting in trouble with the law, cast aside by Hollywood, and end up dead at a very young age. Jay North of Dennis the Menace fame told Katie Couric in a 1991 interview that parents should keep their kids out of show business because it destroys lives. And he was right. Fame and fortune doesn't buy happiness.

He died in 1968 of a drug overdose. He was only 25. That's sad. I wonder if he got any help for his drug habit. If he were alive today, he would have gotten treatment at the Betty Ford center or some other rehab center.
