Wow! This comment section is full of complainers and ignorant people. The message: many of her previous and lower budget videos like "Se que soy" had more afro-latinos as back up dancers with the exception of some of the main characters for the video storyline to make better sense. She's still new to the "American Music Market" and still making her mark so give her some time. Also, not all "Afro Latins" have Afros! There are plenty of beautiful Afro Latinas walking around of all skin colors and all types of hair textures. In the past we were called "Colored Folks" because "Black people" come in all shades, so to see ignorant comments about only "light skinned people are in the video" just shows the lack of education on our culture and it's people! There are plenty of "Black American" and "Black Caribbean" Video professionals out there but that's not the same as "Black Latin" individuals, so do some of you truly care of the message or do you just want to see random "black people" of Dark complexion in general to satisfy your perception of her message, regardless of possible inaccuracies? In other words, you would have been fine with a fictitious lie than for her to do it right. The business side:Budgets play a major role but more important when you're a new artist breaking out into this market you don't get everything you want on a silver platter right off the bat. Unless you're Beyonce, Lady Gaga, etc... Most video directors rarely let you have that much say so in there video even though it's you're song! As a new artist, she wouldn't want her reputation to start out as, "an artist that is dificult to work with because she wants everything her way"... That could easily kill her chances in this market instantly! Which shows the lack of knowledge on how the industry works. Love and Hip Hop with some of its scripted nonsense already made her look a little difficult with all the drama that occured. So some times sacrifices are necessary... Who cares if she doesn't have a ton of "Afro Latin" people in videos for now... That's a small sacrifice; I'm proud of her for not sacrificing all that she stands for by not changing who she is!!! The moment she changes who she is and what she looks like to satisfy the masses that's when y'all can complain, in the mean time just give her a break and enjoy her amazing music!!!
