My widowed grandmother used to sing this song and accompany herself on the piano when I was very young in Cloverdale, Virginia.

What an incredible song. Quite the lineup of talent on that stage that night. Alison Krauss is so talented and beautiful. Unusually, she's a woman I think looks better today than back then (before she lost weight.) I also strongly suspect she's had some work done- good for her. She just went from cute as a button to drop-dead gorgeous, is all.

So much Talent on one stage at the same time. It's incredible. No better sound in the world than that of Bluegrass. Alison and Ricky do it best.

The very first song recorded by the original Carter Family in the first Bristol sessions in 1927. Sung beautifully here and faithful to that 1927 recording. Arrangement by A.P. Carter. The Carter Family songs are timeless and this wonderful group could do those songs justice.

I love anything that is Blue Grass and I love to listen to Alisons beautiful angelic voice. I play banjo and guitar and love to sing those old songs and hymns... but my voice is silent when I hear those appelachin songs/tunes. Keep them coming.
