Covering 5 tracks from the hotly anticipated "Anjunadeep 05" compilation mixed by Jody Wisternoff and James Grant, this sampler features exclusive material from UK house duo Dusky, Andrew Bayer & James Grant, the much-loved Solarity and rising star Universal Solution.

Opening things up is Andrew Bayer & James Grant's uniquely deep take on "It's Cool" by Australian indie-electronic act The Presets - taken from last year's gold selling album "Pacifica". Stripping things back entirely, Bayer and Grant reconstruct the original into a moody, hypnotic vocal deep house epic - complete with stirring pianos.

Responsible for some of the biggest deep house tracks of the past 18 months in "Flo Jam" and "Nobody Else", London duo Dusky return to the label that released their debut album "Stick By This" with the atmospheric "Mr Man". Already a favourite of Sasha among others, "Mr Man" sees Dusky take a more measured approach with deep, brooding bass grooves, hypnotic textures and a classy piano refrain.

Andrew Bayer & James Grant team up again for the brilliant "Living". Soaked in lazy groove and percussive fills, "Living" is a deep, melodic house gem that unravels beautifully and climaxes on a washing, emotion-loaded breakdown.

Hotly tipped talent Gavin Holland aka Universal Solution then contributes with the spacey and epic "Osheen". A great introduction to the label, "Osheen" blends a dark, growling bassline with LTJ Bukem-esque soundscapes to create a perfect Anjunadeep alchemy.

Completing the package is the blissed-out ambient electronica of Solarity's "Symbols", who make a much-anticipated return to the label.

Sounds a bit like American Dream by Jakatta...

The full track is stunning. Because it's over nine minutes it cannot be judged in four, you miss the build up and movement.

I agree with you on colorize and silk, atm they are two of my favourate labels, they don't seem to put out a single bad track. Intricate is another brilliant label :)

Gutted, I love them! I don't know when it'll get old, but it's enjoyable for now. Even if good trance is rare these days, any 'electronic' music without tapestops and constant snare drums is a bonus. Labels like Deep, Colorize and Silk Royal really are on top of their game at the moment. (Or the competition is just crap.)

Depends on the producer (and DJ/programmer in the case of 05) really and what they introduce along the way. This one felt the least dynamic out of all I'd heard so far.

I didn't mean to come across as though anjunadeep releases are just plain bad releases(like anjuabeats) :D ive loved most of the recent ep's such as kahwe, da funk spirit catcher and erkka etc What i dislike, which is more due to personal preference is the deep house tracks with the barry white-esque talking vocals, i really don't like them

I believe, Mr. Addict, that we've agreed on things in the past, but Anjunadeep has become a superb label. Loved it at the start for its progressive trance, got tired during the Michael Cassette-Jaytech-PROFF cycle days, yet in the last year or so it's become incredibly cool. Reminds me of the Majestic channel on here. Could spend hours listening to it all! However, we're all different...

The best track from two samples for me. It contain unforgettable old school prog house elements with new "touch". Perfect for deep sunset.

This tracks is actually really enjoyable to my ears but i know what you mean. Seems like the tracks in this volume are a little too simple sounding, to the point of them being quite boring, but thats the nature of deep house and the reason i probably won't be picking up 05, there is just too much of it on there and im not a huge fan of it.
